In reference to: Rider & sport safety

Don't let ignorance, arrogance and common sense handicap our riders and sport that we love so much. In May of 1985 the sport of motocross brought me to the business of Dyno Port Racing where I met owner Rich Daly to have him build me a pipe for my torridly slow husky 125. Little did I know that Rich and I would kindle a friendship that has lasted more than 15 years.

Over the years Rich has never been shy about letting people know his feelings vehemently when he sees something unsettling, he has never been someone to sit back and let ignorance and ignorant actions continue while he is involved.

This is why I am 100% with Rich on the facts that the sport of motorcycle racing needs an intervention to reach a common ground between its supporters to revitalize rider, promoter and spectator safety, to a professional precedent that our sport desires. Allowing a pissing contest to proceed any further only degrades matters that are too important to continue turning a cheek to. Together we need to set our differences aside, contact one another and reach a meaningful solution for all safety concerns of all participants to maintain the professionalism many of our riders and manufacturers have already set because of their involvement.

Respectfully,

Ethan Goodrich
