Email received 3/26/02:

Charles "Buddy" Duffy was injured in practice at the Atlanta Supercross on Feb. 24th, 2001. His immediate injury was a skull fracture which was then followed by a near fatal stroke on the right side of his brain. The doctors performed a craniotomy during the early morning hours of Sat. March 2nd, 2001, to save his life. After many many months of rehab he is home but still under treatment, he must also undergo major surgery on April 10th, 2002 to replace the piece of skull which was removed. It has been over a year since his accident, and we just wanted to let everyone know he's still fighting and plans to finish this race. His updates can be read on www.motorcycle-usa.com, we are currently trying to set up his own website. He can be contacted at mx385@aol.com.

Thanks,
The Duffy Family
